Carolyn St. Clair received specialized education in international negotiation from Harvard Law School in 1993, and arbitration and mediation education in 1991. She is listed in Who's Who In American Law, Who's Who in American Nursing, and Who's Who in American Women.

She is the founder of the Texas Medical Legal Society, and contributing author of Structuring Settlements (The ATLA Press, 1987), as well as other legal articles. She is a Lifetime Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys, Melvin Belli Society. She serves on the Board of Directors of South Texas College of Law and is Vice-President of the University of Texas School of Nursing at Houston.
